The body uses certain nutrients like carbohydrates, protein, fat, and sugar from the food that you eat :
- To produce energy to functions the body properly and for physical activity.
- To store the energy for further use of the body in the future. In the muscles and liver, sugar is stored as glycogen and in fat tissue, fat is stored as a triglyceride.
how much energy you get, mainly depends on what kind of food you eat, and how much time it takes to digest.
